Worst purchase decisions ever - not that there was anything bad about them, but there wasn’t really anything noteworthy either. I wish I had all the money back I’ve wasted on bows between my “beginner” bow and the two I have now - including one or two midrange bows. Take it from someone who’s been there and done that. It’s what happens when you staff a department with people who don’t know shit for minuscule pay. Now this doesn’t guarantee against fuckery - a lot of the archery pro shops around me are staffed with either dickheads or idiots so it’s not a silver bullet, but cabelas/bass pro are even worse. Go purchase it at a reputable archery shop. You may see flashy bows in Instagram pictures or on YouTube channels but these “lowly” bows will still kill whatever you point it at. You could purchase a PSE Stinger and not need anything else for your entire hunting career. Completely adjustable from 10 pounds to 60 pounds and 15 inches to 29 inches makes this a great bow for everyone. The Elite Ember RTS (Ready To Shoot) package is an excellent entry-level setup for archers of all ages. A better bow is a good investment once you’ve sunk at least 6 months into shooting to get a baseline.Īnything PSE or Bear will serve a beginner well until they decide they want something flashier… and make no mistake, calling it a “beginner” bow is a misnomer. Elites integrated limb stops deliver a solid back wall that other bows simply cant. Doing anything new is uncomfortable at best, and what you think is “good” and “comfortable” will likely change rather quickly. The old adage “go shoot them all” doesn’t really translate well for people who have never shot before. When beginners ask about buying a bow two things I try and stress. If you're interested in the ILF version of the BH (my opinion here) just do a search on ebay for: "17" ILF riser." They usually sell for $85. SHOOTABILITY FOR EVERYONE Everyone knows that an Elite bow is the world’s most shootable bow. We cover all the specs of the bow before we cover the versatility of the bow with a light weight set up for one of the ladies at our shop. I just say, I was really impressed and I know I keep repeating myself, but I don't know how they can sell them for that price. In this video we take a look at the new Elite Ember bow. I sold it to a friend and got my money back. I just wanted to find out what all the accolades were about. I bought that BH (LAS Ember) used and had no intentions of keeping it. The grips and other curves on the risers were just to similar. I'm convinced the riser on the BH and the 17" ILF risers were made by the same people. I bought a BH w/longbow limbs a couple years ago and about the same time, I bought two 17" ILF risers for the grandkids on ebay. I know this started out as a BH Elite thread hope you don't mind too much if I take it to another option.
