![]() They then believed I had an eptopic pregnancy which would explain why levels rising but not doubling - they need to rise into the thousands but mine were only rising very slightly about a third each time. every 2 days the levels were rising, no baby on scan. I had to return every 48 hours and honestly they were the longest days of my life. I did have test but the numbers were rising not going down? This left the team at my hospital confused. They send me for a blood test - it was believed that the count (sorry i think it was called H.count) would reduce as your body adjusts to the pregnancy loss. Okay- well, i remember searching the internet desperately at the time for information too and hope. "viable" i thought at the time as if it was nothing to the staff, it was my baby that i had already began to bond with and to learn he was no more was devastating.īefore you read on and get upset i will tell you now it was ok in the end I have a lovely 4 year old who is excited for his birthday party tomorrow I went for 6 weeks scan too and exactly the same thing happened as you then, after returning 2 weeks later I was told the awful news that it looks like the pregnancy was not "viable" - to me those words will always haunt me. I just wanted to let you know my experience I hope all will be ok for you in the end. Hope this helps to reassure you a little x ![]() I also have a medical condition which means I have to inject myself as soon as I know I am pregnant to sustain my pregnancy. ![]() I have had 7 miscarriages before and I was suffering with severe abdominal pains when I was first pregnant this time which is why they checked me over so early. I went back 3 weeks later and the heartbeat was there beating away as strong as anything and my pregnancy is going fine. ![]() I had a scan at exactly 6 weeks at the EPAU (early pregnancy assesment unit) and they could see a sac but no heartbeat. ![]()
